Do You Have An Addiction and Not Know It?

Do You Have An Addiction and Not Know It?

I had a person call me the other day. They asked me a simple question, which helped me want to write this handout. Her question was, "Are your treatments and chiropractic addictive?" I initially took pause, but then I realized, "That is a valid question."

So today I'm going to answer that question in this handout. Have you ever thought about or were you ever fearful that you'll become "addicted" to chiropractic adjustments? Is that possible? Is it an addiction for your body to want to feel the best it can? I don't think so.

Some who come to get adjusted on a regular basis… choose to come when they're feeling great. So they're not in pain, and are not in what I call "crisis mode." They're doing it because they want to. Why?

  • To detect NEW subluxations early before they cause damage
  • To avoid a relapse so they don't have to start from ground zero with their care again
  • To stay well and feeling great, plus create a healthy immune system

When patients understand what we do, how we do it, why we do it, and why they don't want to stop doing it, something kicks in. They find out it's really about their priorities. Some people care about their health, some don't. Some think just because they don't have symptoms, they're healthy, which is totally wrong.

I've got a question for you today. How much of a priority do you place on your health when compared with the other demands on your time and money? Regardless of your priority, please know we're honored to be of service to you at this office. Our job is to provide you with the very best chiropractic care possible, and your job is to get the most out of it.
