Should Kids See an Iowa City IA Chiropractor?

Should Kids See an Iowa City IA Chiropractor?

I get asked this question a lot. My short answer is – “Of course!” My own children are 9 and 7. They have been adjusted since birth and will continue to be adjusted, I hope, for the rest of their lives. It just makes sense. Children, just like adults, have spines. They have nervous systems. They have body systems (organs, muscles, immune systems, etc) that are controlled by their nervous system. Kids have physical stress, they have emotional stress, and they certainly have chemical stress (food, household chemicals, environmental pollutants, etc.). These are all situations that will increase the chances that a child’s nervous system will not function properly. But when a child’s nervous system isn’t functioning properly, they don’t usually develop the classic symptoms that bring adults to chiropractic offices.

They will have symptoms like recurring ear infections, frequent colds and flus, ADD/ADHD, bedwetting, stomach pain, or intestinal problems. A kid’s body will usually respond wonderful to chiropractic care. Their body is made with all the knowledge it needs to heal itself. The brain, the nervous system, and the rest of their body just has to be free of interference in order to let that happen. Fortunately, this is what chiropractic care in Iowa City IA does!
